Bolgheri by bike tour
Wine, gastronomy, nature and physical activity - 6 hours tour
A tour that has the sport and the nature as protagonists. We will discover this area renting bikes from Marina of Bibbona, a little village on the sea, going then to Bolgheri. Passing by our countryside, going towards the famous and fascinating wine street of Bolgheri, plugged in vineyards and olive trees.
We will take some breaks to take photos to achieve the little village in around 1 hour.
We will ride the bike along the famous Street of San Guido, with its cypresses, known and described in the famous poem of the poet Giosuè Carducci, that has passed here his childhood. You will visit with me this little village surrounded by its walls, reconstructed several times due to the various attacks during the middle age, from the near cities or emperors who wanted to conquer the land.
The Castle is still nowadays the property of the Della Gherardesca noble family, which comes from Pisa. The inside visit of the castle isn’t allowed because it is a private house. We will stroll in the little centre, characterised by narrow streets, decorated with flowers and terraces, full of shops both souvenirs and classic ones. Not to forget restaurants, wine shops and wine cellars.
The tour will continue, riding our bike, along the Wine Road of the Etruscan Coast, where all the most important labels in the world are produced.
Infact Bolgheri is the top place when we are speaking about wine of high quality, called Super Tuscan, for its strongest link with the territory of origin.
An area not so big, just 1200 hectares but full of enterprises, some of them with a name that made the italian history about enology, such as Mario Incisa della Roccetta with its Sassicaia, the best Cabernet Sauvignon in the world, or the Antinori family and its relais of Guado al Tasso and Ornellaia and so on. You will enjoy an amazing bike ride along a fascinating street overlooking vignards and sea, breathing the real Tuscan nature. It’s here that we will have the wine tasting and the visit inside the wine cellar. Coming back to the bike rent.

This tour ideally completes the tours of the Tuscan Coast that we offer.
The Livorno boat tour which includes a visit by boat to the characteristic places of the city, sailing along its canals. The tour Bolgheri & Wine which does not need many explanations and finally the visit to the Gulf of Baratti and Populonia.
The entry fee for this tour is variable and depends on the number of subscribers, write to me for a precise evaluation.
