Discovering the mysterious Leghorn coast - 1 hour and half tour
This city is quite different from her Tuscan sisters for what concerns its history. It doesn’t have in fact Medieval origins but it was born in the XVI ages. Before that period it was the port of Pisa, it was a little village surrounded by a natural mouth of the Arno river, it has been destroyed many times during the centuries.
We are speaking about a place that has always been considered the outskirts. Since Florence decided to connect Leghorn to the sea. Works of reconstruction started and let enter this city in the high background in 1606. A cosmopolitan city, created thanks to the arrival of many strangers of many origins that found here a place to live. It’s for this reason that Leghorn is considered a multiethnic city, the first that hosts different religions.

This tour of the city of Livorno is ideally combined with the other tours of the Tuscan coast that we have decided to offer you. All together they propose a different vision of the Etruscan Coast, a vision that is light years away from the tourist image that is often given.
The Bolgheri bike tour that begins by renting fun pedal assisted bicycles from Marina di Bibbona and ends by tasting excellent wines directly in local farms. The tour Bolgheri & Wine does not need many explanations and finally a visit to the Gulf of Baratti and Populonia.
The entry fee for this tour is variable and depends on the number of subscribers, write to me for a precise evaluation.
